2024 -Registration 101
PLEASE READ BELOW!
**IT IS ADVISED YOU GO TO THE 'ABOUT RUGBY' TABS TO DETERMINE WHAT DIVISION YOUR CHILD SHOULD REGISTER UNDER. THERE ARE WEIGHT AND AGE PARAMETERS.**
Each player will register with USA RUGBY annually.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!
Each player will register with 'Match Facts' seasonally.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MID-OCTOBER for Winter and in May for Summer 7s.
REGISTRATION FEES
For the younger age groups, please make sure the player is under the weight requirement before registering.
Also, older/lighter waivers will be on a first come first serve basis.
Fees Breakdown
USA Rugby/US Youth And HS Annual Membership Fees:
Non-Contact Player Membership (Flag U8)- $5
Contact Player Membership (U10-U18/HS) - $35
Coaching Membership - $65
Referee Membership - $65
U18 Referee Membership - Free
SoCal Youth Rugby Fees for Winter
Non-Contact Player Membership (Flag U8)- $35-45
Contact Player Membership (U10-U12) - $65-75
Contact Player Membership (U14 light & open)- $75-85
*Registration cost for SCYR increases from lower range to higher range on Nov. 25th!!
FYR Club Fees for Winter
Non-Contact Player Membership (Flag U8)-$135

Fundraising will include donating supplies for the snack bar during home games!!!

**For any players/parents that would like their child to try the sport of rugby prior to commitment is still required toregister through USA RUGBY and SOCAL RUGBY 'MATCH FACTS.' This covers liability and insurance for the club. You may choose the option 'pay later' to avoid being charged any fees. Thank you for your understanding.
Schedule
The youth rugby winter season is about to start, which covers the younger age groups U8-14.
- Age groups: U8 flag, U10, U12, BU14, BU18-offered in the summer based on interest by HS teams
- Registration opens: May 2024
- 1st Practice: May 20th
- 1st League Game: June 8th
- Last League Game: July 20, 2024
For the Youngers U8, u10, u12: Practices are typically Monday & Wednesday 6:15-7:45 pm at Potter Junior High Middle School.
The u14 team will practice with Coach Hernandez times TBD at Potter Junior High Middle School.
2023 Summer 7s PILOT Program
SUMMER 7S: registration will open May 2nd or 3rd on Match facts.
PLEASE NOTE: Divisions have changed! please see the chart to left. We no longer have u10-u18, it is youth, juniors, middle school, and high school: weights light and open. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you match your childs birth year and weight when registering.
FEE BREAKDOWN:
- If you did not play winter 15s for any club you will first need to register with USARUGBY for $35.00. This covers our insurance.
- SCYR will collect $35 up until May 30th, $39 after May 30th for summer 7s.
- New players and returning players will be charged $105.00 on Match facts for Fallbrook Youth Rugby tournament fees. New players that did not play winter 15s will be charged $55 to cover uniform fees on uniform hand out day.
- Check or Venmo will be taken. Returning players will use the shirt, shorts, socks, backpack, mouthguard from winter 15s. (There will be options to buy any new uniform pieces your child may have outgrown or lost).
*Practices will begin the week of May 14th. Dates to be announced shortly. We understand there will be overlap with spring sports playoffs and issues with HS football. We will collaborate and work around!
**The season is scheduled for 6 weeks, June 3 through July 15th. However at this time, we will probably only enter 5 out of 6 of these tournaments. We are planning to skip July 8th, but will be reconsidered on an individual coach and team basis.
